About the State Directed Project

The mission of the Early Childhood State Directed Project is to improve early learning opportunities and to contribute to the success of all children, those with and without disabilities, and their families so they are ready to enter school. School readiness means ready children, ready families, ready schools, and ready communities.

The ECSDP meets this mission by:

  • Collaborating with early childhood interventionists, service providers, agencies, school and community programs;
  • Linking networking and providing resources;
  • Providing professional development opportunities;
  • Promoting initiatives around state priorities, federal guidance and evidenced based practice; and
  • Building capacity and sustainability through long term technical assistance to local school systems.
