Foundations of Student Success Modules& VTSS 10 One-pagers
Virginia Tiered Systems of Supports’ Foundations of Student Success is a 10-part video series providing foundational practices that lay the groundwork for successful academic instruction, behavioral support, and a safe and caring learning climate. The corresponding one-pagers define, describe actionable steps, and provide a brief data collection tool for each of these 10 High Quality Core Instructional Practices. Upon completion of the video series, participants may take a short quiz in order to receive a Certificate of Completion.
Trauma Learning Modules
These engaging and practical learning modules will help provide you with tools to develop the systems to gain knowledge, to build practices, and to have the skills to support your journey to becoming a Trauma-Sensitive School. Supplemental activities, resources, and an action planner are included to help guide your implementation. Videos from experts and division staff implementers are also included with each module to enrich your experience.
Ultimate Behavior Toolkit
This series will provide a toolkit of strategies to assist school personnel in implementing evidence-based practices that promote positive student outcomes. Upon completion of the video series, participants may take a short quiz in order to receive a Certificate of Completion.
Defusing Disruptive Behavior Modules
Defusing Disruptive Behavior is an 8-part series that describes the phases of the Escalation Cycle: baseline, trigger, escalation, crisis, de-escalation, and post-crisis drain. These modules provide information and strategies to consider when defusing behavior. Upon completion of the video series, participants may take a short quiz in order to receive a Certificate of Completion.
Behavior and Instructional Support Interactive Training
This series of modules and the associated guidelines will empower educators by deepening their understanding of function-based supports. These supports help promote positive behaviors, build academic and behavior-related skills, and effectively reduce persistent interfering behaviors in the school setting. Viewing this six-module series in order and in full will ensure the most effective learning experience.
