#4: Center for Implementation and Evaluation of Education Systems (CIEES) at Old Dominion University
This week’s resource spotlight features the Center for Implementation and Evaluation of Education Systems (CIEES) at Old Dominion University. As ODU’s first center dedicated to using significant grant funding to drive meaningful improvements in K–12 education for students with and without disabilities, CIEES offers a wealth of practical tools for educators. One highlight is the Creating Capacity for Change Collaborative: Resources page, which features five video modules including topics such as Chronic Absenteeism, Defusing Disruptive Behavior, and the Ultimate Behavior Toolkit for both elementary and secondary educators. Also featured is the Foundations for Student Success series, which presents 10 practical classroom practices through engaging video demonstrations. Together, these resources provide educators with evidence-based strategies that can be applied right away to foster more effective, supportive, and inclusive learning environments.
