Summer is the perfect time to recharge, reflect, and reengage with your professional community. One powerful way to grow your literacy knowledge and practice is by joining a local or statewide organization dedicated to evidence-aligned reading instruction. Whether you’re new to the field or a seasoned educator, these groups offer valuable resources, networking, and professional learning opportunities to support your work with students.
Start with the Virginia Joint Coalition for Learning Disabilities (VJCLDL). This collaborative network brings together statewide organizations committed to supporting educators, families, and students. VJCLDL offers free virtual events available year-round focused on reading research, high-leverage practices, and the science of reading—no membership required!
Explore these partner organizations and networks, many of which offer free or low-cost ways to engage. Consider connecting with one (or more!) of these impactful organizations.
