VALUE Series by the Virginia Literacy Partnerships

If you haven’t visited the VALUE Series sinces its launch in April 2022, it is time to go back and check out the latest additions! Afterall, “VALUE” stands for Virginia Assessment for Literacy – Updated and Expanded. The Virginia Literacy Partnerships aims to continue that promise to update and expand a comprehensive collection of literacy resources.

Educators can learn about topics grounded in science-based reading research. This series scaffolds learning about each topic by presenting short introductory videos, infographics, recorded webinars, instructional resources, and finally additional readings for each of the key components of effective instruction. Key topics include data literacy and explicit instruction with several others coming soon!

A Professional Learning Guide is included for each topic. This guide provides a step-by-step comprehensive implementation approach that can be used by administrators and coaches. Explore the Professional Learning Guide Overview.

In addition to the educator resources, the Virginia Literacy Partnerships has developed Resources for Families. Educators are encouraged to share the website with families to learn about a certain topic or find activities to do at home with their child.
