Educational, Instructional and Assistive Technologies can support all students in their acquisition of knowledge. Educators and specialists, at technology conferences, frequently share their thoughts on technology during a workshop session called a Smackdown. A Smackdown is a rapid-fire sharing of apps, tools, or teaching tricks that have been found helpful to students in the teaching and learning process.
At the January 2018 Assistive Technology Network (ATN) meeting for Superintendent’s Region 2 & 3, Virginia educators and specialists were asked to share their favorite app, AT device or tool in a Smackdown style event. A collection of over 35 resources were reviewed. Those suggestions have been turned into Tech Tools for Education.
